Pre-Diabetes and the Risk of diabetes

Type 2 Diabetes can be prevented and there are lots of useful resources for people who are at risk of diabetes or have been diagnosed with pre-diabetes.

New Diagnosis of Diabetes

Patients with a new diagnosis of diabetes are encouraged to see NHS Grampian's Support page on Pre-diabetes.

Diabetes Management at Camphill Medical Practice

If you have diabetes, you will be invited for a review appointment with a nurse at least once a year. Depending on your last blood test results and the need for changes to your medication, you may be invited for review more often, or may also have appointments with a GP to discuss your treatment.

This may be done over more than one appointment, for example an appointment for blood tests and measurements, and another appointment for foot checks, review of the results and agreement of the plan going forward.

It has lots of useful information and allows you to view your own up-to-date diabetes clinic results, so that you have a chance to reflect on the results prior to your review appointment, to help you to manage your condition more effectively.
